The three things people ask before their first shirt

Does Merino smell after you sweat in it?

Far less than polyester. Merino takes moisture into the fibre itself and holds odour there, rather than leaving sweat on the surface for bacteria to work on. It isn't magic — a hard week still earns a wash — but it is the review we hear most.

How often does Merino need washing?

Less often than synthetics or cotton. Between wears, an airing overnight is usually enough; wash when it's genuinely dirty, following the care label. That is the whole point of a natural, high-performing fibre.

Isn't wool too hot for summer?

Not superfine Merino. It is a fine, breathable fibre that moves moisture away from the skin, which is why owners wear the Cassius for workouts in heat and humidity. Heavy jumper wool and Merino jersey are very different things.
